Gareth took Peter Brown, the Chairman of Chesham United Football Club, to 10 Downing Street where they met with the Rt Hon Lucy Frazer MP, Secretary of State for Digital Culture, Media and Sport.
Gareth said ‘‘Chesham United are doing us all proud this season, currently sitting at the top of the league. Peter is a great advocate for our local area, particularly for grassroots football. During the conversation with the Secretary of State, we discussed making sure the FA provides the right support and opportunity for clubs like Chesham United in the lower leagues, to ensure that grassroots football and sports in general, which mean so much to us locally, are both celebrated and protected. I am determined to continue championing our local area to make sure the voices of our local communities are heard at the highest levels.’
More and more people are supporting Gareth as someone who doesn’t just talk and pass blame but takes action and delivers for us locally.
