Following the public meeting held by Gareth Williams and Matt Barber, our Police and Crime Commissioner, residents from up and down the constituency expressed their concerns around gold burglaries in our community. As a result of this meeting, Gareth is determined to make sure that more is done to deter burglars by requiring ID checks for all gold sales, as is required for scrap metal sales. Your support for this campaign will enable Gareth to put this issue forward to the Home Secretary in order to ensure that more is done to tackle the issue of gold burglaries in our community.
