Ensuring a high quality education for our young people

As a local father of three and a former school governor, Gareth appreciates the excellent education system we benefit from here in the Chilterns and South Bucks area, which is a big reason who so many choose to come and live here in the Chesham and Amersham constituency. Gareth will work to make our schools even better and knows the importance of continued investment. That is why Gareth, with ten others, raised over £800,000 to go towards a sixth form centre and for teaching STEM subjects to girls at Dr Challoner's High School. However, like many local parents in the constituency, Gareth is deeply concerned by Labour's plans to put a 20% VAT on independent schools, which will only put more pressure on state schools and threaten to dismantle the fantastic local education system available locally. Gareth will continue to fight for more investment in our schools and to protect the good quality education system here in the Chesham and Amersham constituency.
